The Saudi Press Agency reports that two falcons were sold for a combined SAR 374,000 during the fourth session of the National Center for Falcons Auction 2026. The auction runs through 30 November.
The two sales
Bidding on the first falcon opened at SAR 100,000 and closed at SAR 193,000. The second bird started at SAR 120,000 and was acquired for SAR 181,000. Both sales took place on the evening of 15 October.
How the auction works
The agency says the center supports falconers throughout the trapping season. Field teams receive trappers across the Kingdom and arrange transport and hospitality to the auction venue. Bidding is held live and broadcast on television and on the center's digital channels.
Context
According to an earlier SPA report carried by Arab News, this is the seventh annual edition. The auction covers migratory juvenile peregrine falcons trapped in the Kingdom, and it is held at the center's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh. The same report puts cumulative sales since 2020 at about SAR 45.3 million from 455 falcons.
For buyers, breeders and institutions, the nightly results offer a reference point for the wild-caught segment, which is separate from the captive-bred lots of the International Falcon Breeders Auction.
